The multi-talented musician/producer Richard Swift has died.
Swift, who passed away in Tacoma, was 41.
He was hospitalized last month with a condition that was deemed to be “life threatening” and a GoFund me campaign had been set up to help defer rising medical costs.
Along with being a member of both The Shins and The Arcs and a touring member/collaborator with The Black Keys, Swift was a solo artist who recorded majestic pop records that came with mysterious and celestial heights.
Via Instagram Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys called Swift, “one of the most talented musicians I know.”
He then wrote: “I will miss you my friend.”
Owner of the National Freedom recording studio, Swift worked with Nathaniel Rateliff And The Night Sweats, Foxygen and Sharon Van Etten.
