Fitness advocate Richard Simmons has died.

The beloved New Orleans-born television personality was 76.

As of now, no cause of death has been reported, but law enforcement officials have said that Simmons was found unresponsive at his Hollywood Hills home early Saturday morning.

Simmons had just celebrated his birthday a day earlier on July 12th.

Simmons retreated into private life into 2014 and his disappearance has been the subject of speculative articles and podcasts.

His last message to the world was in the form of a Tweet: “Thank you…I never got so many messages about my birthday in my life! I am sitting here writing emails. Have a most beautiful rest of your Friday. Love, Richard.”
