To mark the 40-year anniversary of their debut Chronic Town, R.E.M. will be issuing the legendary EP as a standalone CD for the first time ever.
Produced by Mitch Easter, who contributes comprehensive liner notes to the new edition, Chronic Town contains beloved R.E.M. classics like “Wolves, Lower” and “Gardening At Night.”
Released through I.R.S. Records, the EP sold 20,000 copies in its first year of release and garnered rave reviews from NME, Creem and The Village Voice.
The EP will be released August 19th on CD, Picture Disc and Cassette.
