Breaking a six year silence, The Prodigy are set to release their new album in March.
Dubbed The Day Is My Enemy, it will be the band’s sixth effort overall and their first since 2009’s Invaders Must Die.
The album is rumored to be an aggressive offering, and one that frontman Liam Howlett told the NME will be “violent sounding.”
Getting their start all the way back in 1990, The Prodigy are credited as being one of the key progenitors of the big-beat sound. However, the Essex outfit also incorporate elements of punk, jungle, industrial and hardcore techno into their sound.
A fourteen-track offering, the album features collaborations with Flux Pavilion and Sleaford Mods.
The album’s first single is “Nasty Nasty” which will be out later this month.
