The Portuguese indie pop/rock dynamic duo Fingertips, which consists of Joana and Rui, has been releasing music at a steady pace since 2002 and has built up a big following on Facebook. Joana and Rui have traveled around the world, performing a various music festivals since the inception of Fingertips, and have released a string of singles and 5 albums. Fingertips will be touring in April and will be performing at the opening of the Worldwide Radio Summit in L.A. and at the Hard Rock Café in Hollywood.
Joana and Rui’s latest creation is the single “Out Of Control” which was composed by Rui, written by Joana, and produced by Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Fleetwood Mac) in Hollywood. The song was released on the Between Rainbow record label and is about the dreams that we all wish to follow – to be free and comfortable in our individuality and to not have to follow the expectations of others. As Joana states, “These days, people just tend to follow the path that others expect from them. But each person has (his/her) own identity… and this music is exactly about this.”
“Out Of Control” is a vibrant, dance-oriented indie pop track led by Joana’s expressive vocals, who urges, “Don’t hide your dreams in your own little shell…” amid the percolating keyboard notes and marching drum beat.
