Portishead fans have had to wait a long time for a solo album from Grammy-Nominated singer Beth Gibbons, but the wait is nearly over.
Gibbons’ debut effort Lives Outgrown will be out May 17th and two singles have been released from the record; “Floating On A Moment,” which came out in February and “Reaching Out,” which was released this week.
Outside of Portishead, the Exeter-born Gibbons did release an album with Rustin Man as well as a recording with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. She also recorded a cover of “Black Sabbath” with the UK metal outfit Gonga and appeared on Kendrick Lamar’s “Mother/Sober.”
Gibbons will be touring behind Lives Outgrown.
