Portishead have announced they will take part in the War Child concert for the Ukraine.
Set to take place at the O2 Academy on May 2, the appearance will mark the first live show for the legendary Bristol trip-hop outfit since 2015.
“We are really pleased to be able to support the people of Ukraine by performing a few songs at this event in collaboration with the amazing War Child charity,” Portishead said in a statement. “EVERYONE who buys a ticket will be sent a link to live stream the event …”
All proceeds from the show will be donated to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
Among others, the benefit will also feature Idles and Heavy Lungs.
