Porno For Pyros Postpone Fall Tour

Written by:

Porno For Pyros have postponed their upcoming tour.

Last month, the L.A. band announced that not only were they set to embark on a full tour for the first time in 25 years with their original lineup, they also revealed they would be releasing a new album before the end of 2023.

Some of that has changed, but only in the sense of the timeline.

The band’s 21-date U.S. tour had been dubbed “Horns, Thorns en Halos,” and it was set to open in early October in California and wind up on Nov. 20 in Austin, Texas.

But Porno For Pyros have decided to delay the tour for several months so they can finish up their new record.

In a statement they wrote: We are beyond thankful for all of your support these last 30 years, and are anxious to celebrate our 30th anniversary with you. Whilst rehearsing for our first tour in 25 years, we’ve also been in the studio creating new music – that we were hoping to get to you in time for these shows. Unfortunately, we have had to move the dates for the upcoming tour as we were not able to begin our campaign in time. So, we’ve pushed the tour a few months from now, in order for everyone to hear and appreciate the new material that is finally finished. Listen up for the new music in the upcoming weeks and keep an eye out for new tour dates. We’re coming! – Porno for Pyros

Oddly, no new dates have been announced, but fans have been told to keep a watchful eye on PFP’s social media, leading many to believe the new dates will be revealed fairly soon.

The band is comprised of Jane’s Addiction alums Perry Farrell and drummer Stephen Perkins as well as the Santa Monica-born guitarist Peter DiStefano and Dutch bassist Martyn LeNoble, who played with Thelonious Monster and Scott Weiland.
