Pigeons Playing Ping-Pong have been around for fifteen years, making me wonder: where have I been?
This Maryland outfit are a consummate live outfit and their sold-out show at the Capitol Theatre in New York proved that they’re also one of the most dynamic bands on the planet.
With almost ten releases (including live albums) to their name, Pigeons have a deep bag to draw from. Led by singer/guitarist Greg Ormont, songs like “Melting Lights” and “Whirled” were instant crowd-pleasers, and with guest guitar player (and Berkleey prof) Tomo Fujita on board, the band was firing nothing but winners.
