In the wake of Prince’s explosive recent appearance on Saturday Night Live, the Purple One is set to be the subject of a new book by Alan Light.
Light, the former senior editor of Rolling Stone and whose esteemed books include The Holy or the Broken: Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley, and the Unlikely Ascent of “Hallelujah”, has written Let’s Go Crazy: Prince and the Making of Purple Rain.
Due out on December 9 on Atria Books, Let’s Go Crazy covers the unlikely coming-to-be of Purple Rain: the song, the album, and the film – each one a cultural milestone.
