Mick Zane, the fiery guitarist who co-founded the beloved ’80s outfit Malice has died.
The cause of death was a brain tumor.
Zane, who was born Michael Landauer, was in his mid-fifties.
A fan favorite, the L.A.-based Malice–who moved to California from Portland in the early ’80s–are best known for the one-two punch of the albums In The Beginning (1985) and License To Kill (1987).
Fixtures of the Sunset Strip metal scene, Malice were a riveting live act who played with ferocious energy and muscle.
