Legendary shoegaze heroes Lush will be returning to San Francisco for the first time in over two decades.
Set to play an all-ages show at The Warfield April 17th, the band will be playing classic numbers as well as newer material from their Blind Spot EP.

Blind Spot features four new songs, all recorded in the summer of 2015 with Daniel Hunt (Ladytron) and Jim Abbiss and is a prelude to a new album, said to be coming down the pike sometime in 2017.
Formed in 1987, the London outfit were one of the first bands to be labeled as shoegaze and their introspective lyrics juxtaposed with layers of feedback-drenched instrumentation brought to mind everyone from the Jesus and Mary Chain to Siouxsie and the Banshees. Their landmark 1992 album Spooky remains a modern classic. Awash in fury and sadness, it sounds like a series of open letters from an anguished heart.
Lush’s singer Emma Anderson also revealed on Facebook a few weeks ago that the band would also be playing Coachella: “Really chuffed to announce Lush are going to be playing at this year’s Coachella Festival in Southern California this Spring. The dates we are playing are the 16th and 23rd April – the same dates as Guns N’ Roses and Ice Cube (though I doubt we’ll be writing on Ice Cube’s dressing room mirror as we did back in 1992)….”
