The New York-born Joe Bonamassa played a scorching set the other night at The Capitol Theatre.
Touring behind his fabulous new album Time Clocks, the legendary blues guitarist put on what could only be described as a musical clinic. Bonamassa has power, grace and jaw-dropping precision and he powered through tracks like “Evil Mama,” “The Heart That Never Waits” and “Lonely Boy” with the perfect blend of intensity and virtuosity.
“Woke Up Dreaming” came across as a stone-cold classic and the show-closing “Crossroads” was about as rousing as it gets.
