Lou Reed’s Hudson River Wind Meditations is set to be reissued early next year.
The 2007 album was Reed’s final solo effort and it will be reissued by Light In The Attic.
Curated by the label along with The Lou Reed archive, the updated edition will be remastered and will boast new liner notes.
Of the album, which is a deep dive into drone, meditation and ambient music, Reed wrote: “I first composed this music to play in the background of life – to replace the everyday cacophony with new and ordered sounds of an unpredictable nature.”
The album was produced by Hal Willner and Reed and clocks in at just under seventy minutes.
Hudson River Wind Meditations will be out January 24th, 2024.
