Larkin Poe played a marvelous set the other night (10/15) at the Tarrytown Music Hall in New York.

The Georgia-bred band are still touring behind their 2020 Kindred Spirits album and they blazed through each number with joyful rootsy nerve. Sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell seem like they were born for the stage—they evince an almost preternatural comfort playing live. Numbers like “Self-Made Man” and “Keep Diggin'” were alive with scruffy Americana stomp while “Summertime Sunset” was a straight-up stunner.

Show opener Tyler Bryant  & The Shakedown opened up the evening’s proceedings with tight set of crunchy rock and searing blues.
