Kate Nash Touring North America For The First Time In Six Years

Written by:

Singer/songwriter Kate Nash has announced a run of North American dates, marking her first tour on the continent in six years.

The London-born Nash’s tour will kick off in Philadelphia in October and will find her making stops in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco, among others. Nash’s North American dates will end in early November when she heads back to Europe for a string of shows in Belfast, Berlin, Paris and Glasgow.

Touring behind her fifth album 9 Sad Symphonies (Kill Rock Stars), Nash will be supported by labelmate Shamir as well as Skating Polly!

“It’s been six years since I toured North America and I can’t wait to reconnect with my fans out there,” Nash told the NME. “I’m very excited to be doing my first U.S .tour dates as a U.S. Citizen.”

Nash’s penchant for wry humor and lyrical dexterity wrapped in unreasonably catchy choruses has helped her cultivate a global fanbase. She refers to her style this time around as “karaoke therapy” and with the election looming and cultural tensions high, her therapeutic mission statement might very well be the necessary balm for the season.
