Jordan Feldstein, the manager of Maroon 5  and brother of actor Jonah Hill has died.

Feldstein was 40.

In a statement Feldstein’s family said the cause of death was a heart attack.

The founder of  the L.A.-based management company Career Artist Management, CAM’s lineup boasts acts ranging from Robin Thicke to Miguel. CAM operated out of Live Nation’s Beverly Hills office and was a subsidiary of the global entertainment company as well.

Feldstein, who grew up with Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, broke into the industry with ICM and Bill Leopold Management.

Feldstein assumed management duties for Maroon 5 after their first album for Reprise under the moniker Kara’s Flowers didn’t take off. Feldstein recalled to Pollstar last year: “When I signed them, they were they were still called Kara’s Flowers but I wasn’t there for their first album. I was in college when that record came out and they had another manager. When I first signed them they weren’t called Maroon 5 yet.”

The father of two, Feldstein was once married to Clint Eastwood’s daughter Francesca.

The Feldstein statement this morning read: “Unfortunately, last night Jordan called 911 for shortness of breath, when paramedics arrived it was determined he went into full cardiac arrest and passed away shortly thereafter. His family asks for privacy during this difficult and unexpected time. In lieu of food and flowers, the family will announce a charity in the coming weeks where memorial donations can be made in Jordan’s name.”
