The estate of the late John Denver has released a never-before-heard track from the singer on the 20th anniversary of his death (Oct 12).
The song is a Judy Collins number called “The Blizzard” and after recording it, Denver sent a demo of the tune to Collins herself.
Denver’s estate came across the original master recording back in 2016.
For Denver fans, this is only the beginning of a series of exciting new releases. For starters, Denver’s 1994 autobiography Take Me Home is out now on Kindle and paperback, while Denver himself reads the Audible audiobook.
Meanwhile, Dec 1 will see the release of John Denver: The Windstar Greatest Hits, which will be out in all formats, including a blue vinyl iteration which will carried exclusively by Cracker Barrel.
Not only that, but the Grammy Museum is playing host to a comprehensive installation of Denver memorabilia.
With more than 35 million albums sold, Denver remains one of the best-selling and most enduring figures in modern music.
