Jeff Beck’s Loud Hailer is one of the best albums of 2016.
His first effort in six years, Loud Hailer is a bluesy blast of guitar perfection. One of the greatest guitar players to ever walk the earth, on this album Beck sounds positively electric and brimming with ideas and life. It’s the work of a virtuoso who plays with a peerless dexterity and grace.
Kicking off his Loud Hailer tour at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, Beck and his band (Jimmy Hall – Vocals Rhonda Smith – Bass Jonathan Joseph – Drums Nicholas Meier – Guitar) tore the cover off the ball and played a breathless set of 12-bar blues and gritty rock and roll.
