A Spacemen 3 reunion is highly unlikely.

Spiritualized frontman Jason Pierce told the Consequence of Sound podcast that the reformation of his old band makes no sense to him.

In spite of being offered millions to do it, Pierce said that getting together again with co-Spaceman Sonic Boom (Peter Kember), seems pointless. “Why?” Pierce asked rhetorically. “I just don’t see the point. I find it really difficult as to why. It’s a weird one, because I’m not wild about anything that’s, like, people just replaying their old music.”

He went on to say, “I’m not so against other people doing it…but I don’t see me doing it.”

Spiritualized’s new album And Nothing Hurt is out September 7.
