Hamilton Adds Former SNL Player Taran Killam To Its Cast

Written by:

Taran Killam is set to join the cast of “Hamilton.”

The former SNL cast member is slated to play King George III in the runaway Broadway hit, starting Jan 17.

The 34-year-old Killam is a six-year veteran of “SNL” and his takes on everyone from Matthew McConaughey to Donald Trump were note-for-note perfect. A native of Culver City and husband of actress Colbie Smulders, the highly versatile Killam was, in many ways, the leader of the SNL troupe during his tenure there.

Killam, who’s just finished filming The Runaround and directing the film Why We’re Killing Gunther, is no stranger to the stage.

Last year he starred in the stage production of “Little Shop Of Horrors” with Jake Gyllenhaal.
