Jon Spencer is one of the most undeniable forces in rock and roll.
The singer/songwriter opened for Gogol Bordello at the Capitol Theatre to close out 2024 and he and his bandmates Kendall Wind and Macky Spider Bowman, who were the rhythm section of the Bobby Lees, blazed through a scruffy and tight set that never let up.
Playing tracks from his latest album Sick of Being Sick and a few selections from Spencer Gets It Lit, Spencer was in fine form, tearing through each track with nimble flair.
A powerhouse of a performer, Spencer is a joy to watch and he plays and sings with guts and nerve.
