David Bianco, the fearless and innovative Grammy Award-winning producer has died.
Bianco, who worked with everyone from Tom Petty to AC/DC to Bob Dylan, was 64.
Details are few, but sources tell SEM that Bianco died after suffering a stroke.
A man who believed an artist should be buoyed by belief and confidence, Bianco was an enormous Beatles fan whose humble beginning in the industry found him working as a janitor at Los Angeles’ Record Plant studios in the early ’70s.
Bianco won a Grammy in 1996 for Tom Petty’s Wildflowers record.
Although he worked with high profile names like Mick Jagger and John Mellencamp, Bianco also worked with a wide array of artists like Buffalo Tom, The Posies, Del Amitri, Primal Scream, Matthew Ryan and You Am I.
