Grant Hart of Hüsker Dü has died.
Hart, who played drums and sang for the legendary Minnesota outfit was 56.
Details right now are few, but the word is that Hart had been battling cancer for some time.
As a tribute, the official Hüsker Dü site posted a sole picture of Hart with no caption. As for Hart’s former bandmates, Bob Mould and Greg Norton, the two have not yet released a statement.
More news as it comes in.
For now, we can only offer a sad salute to one of the greatest songwriters of the past few decades.
