Graham Parker Live At The FTC

Written by:

The always battle-ready Graham Parker paid a visit to the Fairfield Theatre Company last week (4/22) to play a riveting, career-spanning set.

Parker ripped through well-worn classics like “Temporary Beauty” and “That’s What They All Say,” his voice an ageless weapon cascading through each number with muscle and grace.

The 71-year-old London-born singer/songwriter is one of music’s great raconteurs, his between song banter a literary blend of humor and narrative smarts.

Elsewhere, “The New York Shuffle” and “Snowgun” were particularly winning, and the encore of “Humans Are A Mutant Virus” and “You Can’t Be Too Strong” were the perfect 1-2 punch to end the evening.
