Front 242 Postpones U.S. Tour Due To Illness

Written by:

Front 242 have been forced to cancel their Spring tour of the U.S. and Canada.

A few days ago the legendary Belgian electronic outfit revealed that singer Jean-Luc DeMeyer had been hospitalized. On their Facebook page they admitted “his health is worrying,” yet they revealed no further details.

But today the band officially cancelled their tour, writing in a statement: “It is with great regret and sadness that we must postpone the April 2022 Canadian/US tour, due to a recent medical situation concerning our singer Jean-Luc DeMeyer, deeming him medically unable to travel. More information will be available via social media in the days to come.”

They went on to say: “We are just as disappointed as our fans, very much looking forward to the tour…Jean-Luc would like to thank you for the many messages of support he has received these last days. This goes straight to his heart. Front 242 is grateful to you all.”

Front 242 formed in 1981 and their last studio album was 2003’s Pulse.
