A former member of Mr. Bungle has been named as a person of interest in the disappearance of his girlfriend.
61-year-old Alice “Alyx” Kamakaokalani Herrmann has been missing since Dec 3 and was last seen on that day in Santa Cruz, California. Her family reported her as missing on December 12th after not having had contact with her for over a week.
Herrmann was dating Theo Lengyel, who played alto saxophone for the beloved experimental metal band for close to a decade. Lengyel played on their first demo (The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny) and also appeared on albums like their self-titled major label debut in 1991 and the follow-up Disco Volante.
The 54-year-old Lengyel is said to not be cooperating with area police about the investigation, even though Herrmann’s red Toyota was found in front of his El Cerrito home. It’s believed that Lengyel drove his blue Ford pickup truck from his home to Portland after Herrmann vanished.
“Based on his actions, Theo Lengyel is a person of interest in Alice Hermann’s disappearance and has not cooperated with the police investigation,” an official police statement read.
They also revealed that Lengyel also operates under the alias Mylo Stone, although it was not clear in what capacity he uses this name.
