Fishbone delivered a positively exhilarating performance the other night.
Playing to a packed house at the Fairfield Theatre Company in Connecticut, the legendary L.A. band checked in with a high-powered set of ska, soul and punk rock that reinforced the fact that there may be no better live band around.
Playing from their winning discography that drew from 1986’s In Your Face to 2014’s EP Intrinsically Intertwined and even throwing in a few covers–like a truly skankin’ version of Sublime’s “Date Rape”–this was easily one of the best shows of the year.
Singer Angelo Moore is a typhoon of energy and after a truly aerobic set, he seemed to have energy for another one.
Here are some of my favorite shots of the night.
