Roaring out of Detroit with the kind of sonic aggression and reckless abandon that brings to mind everyone from L7 to Nirvana, MPV are quite a find.
The band’s new EP is called In Lust We Trust and it’s a stinging batch of scruffy rock and roll that’s equal parts tension and liberation. The legacy of Kurt Cobain, Penelope Houston and J Kathleen Hanna reside in singer Elise’s voice and she prowls through each number with feral authority.
Signed to Original 1265, MPV’s In Lust We Trust will be out March 3.
