The bad news is that Fish is saying goodbye.
The good news is that he’s going to do it thirteen times.
The former Marillion frontman has just added nine more European shows to his farewell tour, thanks to heavy demand to see him.
Born Derek William Dick in Scotland, Fish is one of the most captivating frontmen of all time. Although he left Marillion in 1989, his solo career has spawned nearly fifteen albums, including 2020’s Weltschmerz, which appears to be his valedictory effort.
The 65-year-old Fish announced his goodbye with a short series of planned shows for 2025, but the response to his farewell was overwhelming, causing additional dates to be added, including a show at the Palladium in London.
The tour will begin in Fish’s former home of Haddington with stops along the way in cities like Bristol, Wolverhampton, and Manchester, among others.
Fish has revealed the set lists will be ever-changing and fans can expect some surprise deep cuts to be performed.
The singer/songwriter recently sold his home and recording studio in Haddington and has plans to retire to the Outer Hebrides.
