Everything But The Girl Announce First Live Dates In 25 Years

Written by:

Everything But The Girl have announced they will play two shows in April at London’s MOTH club.

That’s the good news.

The bad news is both shows have sold out.

However, Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn revealed on social media that, “If the shows go well we intend to do more.”

Playing along with Rex Horan on double bass, Watt and Thorn are set to perform as a part acoustic and part electronic duo, playing songs from the Everything But The Girl songbook as well as from their respective solo albums.

As for what fans can expect, Thorn and Watt promised: “No club bangers, no huge arena, just a chilled folk-tronic vibe.”

Watt and Thorn recorded a BBC studio session to promote their 2023 album Fuse, but aside from that brief foray into playing live, the band hasn’t appeared on a stage since the 2000 Montreux Jaxx Festival .
