Liverpool legends Echo and the Bunnymen have announced the release of their next album.
Dubbed The Stars, The Ocean & The Moon, the new album is the follow-up to 2014’s Meteorites and will be produced by Andy Wright (Simple Minds, Imelda Ray).
A track listing has not been released, but the new effort is said to contain both old and new material, with the former being re-imagined with innovative arrangements and instrumentation.
“I’m not doing this for anyone else. I’m doing it as it’s important to me to make the songs better. I have to do it,” Bunnymen singer Ian McCulloch says in a statement on the band’s official site.
The album will be out in May of 2018 and that month will also find the band immediately hitting the road for a string of UK dates, including a June 1 engagement at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The Stars, The Ocean & The Moon can be pre-ordered now.
