The speculation is over.
After weeks of cryptic clues and fans feverishly trying to puzzle out secret signs on social media, it’s now official.
The Deftones’ new album is on its way.
The legendary Sacramento outfit’s ninth album Ohms will be out September 25th on Warner Records.
There are a lot of ways to herald a new album, but the Ohms artwork appearing unannounced on a billboard above Canter’s Deli in Los Angeles with the caption: This Is Our Time…We Devour The Days Ahead is certainly a way to make a statement.
Ohms was recorded in Los Angeles at Henson Studios and at Trainwreck Studios in Washington. It’s the band’s first new album since 2016’s Gore.
And that’s not all.
Because 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the band’s classic album White Pony, Deftones have revealed that they will be releasing Black Stallion, an effort they describe as a companion remix album to White Pony.
