Chester Bennington, the golden throated singer of Linkin Park has died.
Bennington was 41.
Details are few at this point, but the musician was found at his Palos Verdes home and his death is being treated as a suicide.
The Arizona-born frontman was regarded as one of the great voices in rock and roll.
Linkin Park were a global juggernaut, playing shows all over the world. To date, theĀ Agoura Hills-based band has sold over 70 million albums worldwide.
At one point, on a busman’s holiday from Linkin Park, Bennington stepped in to replace Scott Weiland in Stone Temple Pilots.
Bennington was close friends with Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell and sang at his funeral last month.
Bennington leaves behind six children.
