Stereo Embers has learned that the legendary punk rocker Brian Roy Goble has died.
The frontman/bassist who was a part of three seminal Canadian punk bands (The Skulls, Subhumans and D.O.A.), died of a heart attack this weekend.
He was 57.
Known as Wimpy Roy or Sunny Boy Roy, Goble was in the original lineup of the Subhumans, who got their start in Vancouver back in 1978.
Their album Incorrect Thoughts is not only one of the most important Canadian albums of all time, it’s a punk rock classic.
