This morning The Stone Roses’ legendary lemon logo surfaced all over Manchester.

The posters had no wording, but featured sixteen of the lemons splattered all over the posters.

The number 16 appears to be rather purposeful, and could indicate a wealth of activity from the band in 2016.

What activity exactly?

Some are theorizing the year could bring a new record–their first in 20 years–and a major global tour, punctuated by a headlining slot at Glastonbury.

The posters were spotted at Close Barber’s Shop and Vinyl Revival on Hilton Street.

When asked what he knew of the posters, a store owner told the Manchester Evening News that he was “sworn to secrecy” and that there would be “an announcement due in the next 24 hours.”
