Billy Bragg has announced a very unique U.S. tour.
Dubbed “One Step Forward, Two Steps Back,” the tour will find Bragg playing seven U.S. cities, performing three nights in each city.
The first night Bragg will be playing a set of new material, and the next two nights will be specifically focused on his back catalogue. Night #2 will be devoted to Bragg’s first three albums–Life’s a Riot with Spy vs Spy (1983), Brewing Up with Billy Bragg (1984) and 1986’s Talking with the Taxman about Poetry. Meanwhile, Night #3 will cover the next three albums in Bragg’s career–1988’s Workers Playtime, 1991’s Don’t Try This at Home and 1996’s William Bloke.
Bragg’s tour will begin in February in Los Angeles and it runs through October, ending at the The Sinclair in Boston.
The Essex-born Bragg’s last album was 2013’s Tooth and Nail.
