Biffy Clyro announced today that they will be embarking on a North American tour.
Although they’re a stadium act in Europe and their new album Ellipsis debuted at number one in the UK, Germany, Ireland and Switzerland, they have yet to break in the U.S. However, their faithful American following is proving to be growing in recent years.
The Scottish outfit’s new album prompted SEM’s Shawn Brown to emote: “As far as I am concerned, they are simply the best current rock band on the planet and Ellipsis represents the beginning of something new. They have always been musically explosive, but this record finds them mining new ground sonically. In some ways, Ellipsis is a simpler record than their recent previous efforts, however they’ve never sounded this uninhibited. Quite simply, it’s an omnipotent monstrosity of a record.”
