Stereo Embers is sorry to report that the legendary bluesman B.B. King has died.
He was 89.
King, who died at his home in Las Vegas, reportedly died peacefully in his sleep.
King was born in 1925 on a cotton plantation in Mississippi to parents who were sharecroppers. After getting his first guitar at the age of 12, King got his musical start by singing and playing in churches.
King sold millions of records, had 15 Grammys under his belt and was known as one of the most influential and important guitar players of all time. He’s in both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Blues Hall Of Fame.
