Alex Green’s “The Heart Goes Boom” features new music this week by Trapper Schoepp, Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam and The Battles Of Winter.
The weekly program also plays old favorites by Echo and the Bunnymen, The Thrills, and Beach Day.
Alex also pays tribute to Gary Watson, the frontman of the Lapelles, who died tragically on his birthday.
“I thought the Lapelles were going to be one of those 10-album bands,” Alex says. “And I think they would have been–they were poised to be massive.”
Before playing the Scottish outfits’s “Grab Life By” Alex adds, “Rest easy, my friend.”
