Touring behind her brilliant album #1 Zookeeper (Of The San Diego Zoo), Hamilton’s songs bring to mind everyone from Patty Griffin to Townes Van Zandt. She writes with the eye of a novelist and she sings with lyrical grace and poetic precision.
Numbers like “Soccer Field” and “Whatever Makes You Sleep” really stood out, but it’s silly to try to pick favorites from a perfect peformance.
