1.The Endless River was originally intended to be released under the name The Big Spliff.
2. The four-sided instrumental album is culled from 1994 sessions with late member Rick Wright.
3. The Endless River was produced by David Gilmour, Phil Manzanera, Youth and Andy Jackson.
4. Gilmour’s partner Polly Sampson tweeted that the album is, “Rick Wright’s swansong and very beautiful…”
5. It features audio of Wright playing organ from 1969 rehearsal sessions.
6. Roger Waters has nothing to do with the album–he doesn’t play on it, he didn’t write any of the songs and he hasn’t even commented about its existence.
7. The album features backing vocals by Durga McBroom-Hudson, who has played live with the band before.
8. Recording commenced during sessions for Pink Floyd’s last album The Division Bell.
9. The album will contain 18 songs.
10. The deluxe box set version will contain almost 40 extra minutes of music.
11. Nick Mason has compared the album to the work of The Orb.
12. Only one song has lyrics and that is “Louder Than Words,” which Gilmour sings.
13. The Endless River is out November 10th.
