Anders Osborne is one of the greatest guitarists on the planet.
The guy is unbelievable–as a player he’s dextrous, versatile and full of soul.
I caught the Swedish-born Osborne the other night at the Capitol Theatre, playing a varied set that spanned his winning discography. He also played a few new numbers from his upcoming record Stardust And Ocean Views.
Osborne has been calling New Orleans home since 1985 and you can hear the musical roots of that vibrant city coursing through his music.
Bluesy, soulful and altogether stirring, his set was nothing short of breathtaking.
