“It’s been an interesting decade for the album…” Pitchfork writes in the opening sentence to their new article, “The 100 Best Albums Of The Decade So Far.” We couldn’t agree more, but after a quick perusal of their list, the decade doesn’t seem very interesting at all.
Stereo Embers thought we’d compile our own list of our 100 favorite albums of the decade (so far) and when we were done, we stepped back to find that the list contained Leonard Cohen, Wire, Iron Maiden, Opeth, The Coup, Beach Day, Warpaint, The Jazz Butcher, Elephant Stone, Ghostface Killah and Rush.
We think order has been restored.
Enjoy.
