Fields of the Nephilim have announced the reissue of their legendary 1987 debut Dawnrazer.
Formed in 1984 by singer Carl McCoy, the British band’s sound fused Spaghetti Western soundscapes with a dark and churning Goth/metal rhythms.
Dawnrazer’s opening move was to sample Ennio Morricone’s “Man With the Harmonica,” which was taken from the classic Sergio Leone film Once Upon a Time In The West (1968).
Out in early December, the Beggars Banquet reissue will finds all 14 of the album’s tracks released for the first time on vinyl.
In a statement the band wrote: “We are happy to announce a reissue of this title…remastered and available on CD + colored vinyl. The vinyl is pressed on white and is expanded to a double LP for improved fidelity. Several different versions of this album were initially released, featuring different track listings depending on what country you were in.”
