Andy MacQueen, who played bass for the Aussie punk-pop outfit Exploding White Mice has died.
MacQueen, who was in his fifties, died suddenly on Sunday.
Details of the Adelaide musician’s death are unknown, but MacQueen had reportedly been complaining about abdominal pains in the past few days.
On his Facebook page, the band’s guitarist Jeff Stephens wrote: “All of us here in Exploding White Mice are utterly shocked and heartbroken at the passing of our dearly beloved Andy. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and to everyone who knew him. We love you Andy.”
Recently reformed, the Exploding White Mice’s reunion gigs were filled with fire and heart and word was the band was planning to tour.
The band’s last album was 1994’s We Walk Alone.
