Crystal Castles Live At Lincoln Hall, Chicago

Stereo Embers’ Digital Director Brett Widmann caught Crystal Castles the other night in Chicago and he came back with these marvelous photos.

Comprised of the Toronto-born Ethan Kath and Iowa native Edith Frances, the band played a career-spanning set at Lincoln Hall, including material from their new album Amnesty as well as tracks that were originally recorded with former singer Alice Glass.

A singer of raw and sonorous intensity, the 22-year-old Frances is a captivating performer and she moved through each number with a raw and feral grace.
